Incorporating Balanced Dog Training

Trendy Dogs have recently recruited the services of a young up and coming Dog training talent who utilises a balanced dog training technique allowing your precious dog to understand how to behave in different circumstances.
The initial intent is for her to provide structured dog walks for 1 or 2 dogs per walk to teach them to be calm and neutral around other dogs and to focus on lead walking and engagement. They will gain vital social and environmental exposure whilst still being engaged with the handler.

Paige is an up and coming Dog training talent who utilises a 1 on 1 balanced dog training technique that allows your precious dog to understand how to behave in different circumstances. Unwanted barking, poor recall, jumping up or simply just poor manners; Paige will provide a walk for your dog that incorporates basic foundation training with proven results.

All about Paige
From a young age it was clear to everyone around her just how much love Paige had for animals and that she was destined for a career in the animal industry. This was only reinforced when she went to college and had lessons in dog training, finally understanding where she belonged and what she really loved.
Since leaving college Paige has worked for a number of Dog Care companies gaining the vital dog care experience she needs to understand their needs. After doing some further research Paige now understands where she fits within the dog training industry; as a Balanced Dog Trainer.
Her family rescued a young Golden Retriever that had had a poor start to her life, having received no puppy training or dog socialisation, leaving her 'anti-social' and disobedient. Paige took it upon herself to employ the Balanced Training techniques that she had learned to try and ensure that their new family member could enjoy as much freedom as possible for years to come. The videos below show just how far this once 'rouge' puppy has come. She is now an obedient, well behaved and much loved member of Paige's family; and it is primarily down to Paige and her training that has made this possible.
Trendy Dogs Hotel and Pet Services have seen first hand the positive effect that she has on dogs in her care and would like to promote her and her training services.

Paige is already qualified in Animal Management and is now in the process of gaining her dog training qualifications.
It is hoped that, one day soon, when experience and reputation dictates; Paige will be able to go into business alone as 'PS... Dog Walking' but for now we hope to understand whether there is enough demand by promoting the service through Trendy Dogs.
So what's on offer?
Initial Consultation - Free
A simple opportunity for Paige to meet you and your dog in their natural environment (i.e. at your home or place of usual walk). This will allow Paige to better understand the requirement.
This is a free service that will allow Paige and Trendy Dogs to provide their recommended "way forward" in the form of an official quote.
Recommendations will be based on what the owner actually wants to achieve and how Paige can best meet these objectives. Walks may need to be longer, in order for Paige to gain a better bond with your dog and ensure that they start to learn from the training period.
Depending upon the past training experience of the dog and behaviour condition, it may be that each dog will require numerous sessions before permanent change is seen.

Individual Sessions - from £20 per hour
Paige will walk your dog on a 1 to 1 / 1 to 2 ratio dependant upon what your dog needs. There will be times when it is best for the dog to have 1 to 1 focus but there will also be periods that the training will require more socialising with other dogs (probably in a similar training position) to best improve their social skills.
The walking / training period will initially be planned for 1 hour. This is the minimum realistic period for your dog to start to understand the training. These timings may however require to be increased (up to a maximum of 2 hours per session) or even reduced (if a young puppy for example) in order to ensure maximum benefit to the dog. These timings will be agreed at the Initial Consultation.
The training period will be from the moment Paige arrives until the moment the dog is returned and will be conducted in the most suitable location as dictated by Paige. This may be in the dogs home or in a neutral environment. Every session 'should' include a walk (with a difference) for the dog to practice their new skills.
Continuation training instructions (not homework.....) will be provided so that the fur baby parents can also learn how to best control their loved one.

What is Balanced Training?
Balanced Training utilises both positive and negative reinforcement. By utilising these Balanced Training techniques the dog earns the freedom it desires whilst respecting boundaries and remaining under control at all times. The technique advocates for dogs to be neutral, confident and calm in different environments.
